1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using VirtueKeeper ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
VirtueKeeper is a personal habit-tracking application based on Benjamin Franklin's Thirteen Virtues system. The App allows you to:
- Track daily virtue practice across 13 virtues
- Set and manage personal goals
- Earn points and milestones for consistent practice
- Track streaks and view progress over time
3. User Accounts
To use VirtueKeeper, you must create an account using a valid email address or a supported sign-in provider (Apple or Google). You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Providing accurate account information
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use VirtueKeeper only for its intended purpose of personal virtue tracking. You agree not to:
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure
- Attempt to circumvent any security features
5. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by VirtueKeeper and protected by intellectual property laws. The concept of the Thirteen Virtues is part of the public domain, originally published by Benjamin Franklin.
Your content (virtue entries, goals, notes) remains yours. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content back to you within the App.
6. Limitation of Liability
VirtueKeeper is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data.
7. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the App. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Your continued use of VirtueKeeper after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
